Dome Ceiling Roofs

Not a carpenter by trade but very involved in church projects. Latest project is to build and install a 12 foot radius dome and install it in a room on the ceiling. Perferred materials for construction is wood. Interior surface of dome will be painted with icons. I would greatly appreciate all ideas.

Due to the complexity of a domed roof they are best purchased as a prefabricated unit. Might I suggest you hire a pro or take a look at some of the prefab units.
